Hiking tours in southern France just got better! The Very Best of Stevenson brings you the three best days of hiking along the Robert Louis Stevenson trail - a 45 mile/72 km trek and three full days of great walking in Lozere. Morover, your experience commences with a ride along the magnificent Cevenol mountain railway line. A holiday in its own right - see our dedicated Cevenol tour - this ride sets the mood, enabling you to see the terrain that will delight your feet one you commence hiking southern France.

The highlights of your tour include the Mirandol viaduct at Chasserades, walking by the source of the river Lot, the ascent to and descent from fabulous Mont Lozere, and the 'chemin des crêtes’ that takes you over the crest of the Cevennes' waves towards the ancient bourg of Florac.

You stay in the best hotels that the trail has to offer in each of your four overnight stops and enjoy a memorable walking break from one of the best-rated hiking tours in southern France.
